For Volunteer Appreciation Week, let's take a moment to acknowledge Ian Admiraal, one of the esteemed members of our Board of Directors at Youth Unlimited Edmonton.
"I have a background of 10+ years of small business management and currently work in the External Audit practice at KPMG LLP. I have known about Youth Unlimited since the mid-2010s and have participated in past events and fundraisers, eventually joining the board in 2021. In addition to serving on the board at YFC Edmonton, my wife Shayna and I are involved members of City Life Church in Leduc, serving in the worship and creative arts and media departments, and Shayna is involved in leading the youth and children's ministry.
My wife and I are compassionate members of the Edmonton community who recognize that there is need and suffering all around us. However, we also see that there is hope all around us! I serve on the board at Youth Unlimited because I believe in the mission and vision of Youth Unlimited and have witnessed the impact that YUE has made in the community. Having meaningful adult relationships as a youth was significant in my development and contributed to forming me as an adult. YUE allows me to serve the youth in our community and support the hard work of our volunteers and staff." - Ian Admiraal, Board of Directors at Youth Unlimited.
