The Cellar Youth Centre
I’ve been at Youth Unlimited since 2019! I work at The Cellar on the north side.
As a teenager, I was involved with Youth Unlimited programs in Central Alberta. The youth center was a place where my friends and I hung out, got support, and were challenged to grow in our faith. When I graduated, I knew I wanted to work somewhere I could help youth know they weren’t alone!
Todays youth are facing huge challenges, especially when it comes to belonging and mental health. As someone with extensive lived experience with mental health struggles, I know firsthand how hard it can be to feel hopeful about the future. My dream is to see young people excited about their futures, feeling loved and accepted, and knowing they matter and they belong.
I am inspired and encouraged every day by the upcoming generation of leaders, movers and world changers that I get to work with. These youth are our future, and they give me hope for a bright one!
